Our 40th year.

My friend turned 40 this week - oooh, its a big year for me and my friends.
So, I picked Crafty Sentiments 'Birthday Circles' to use on her card...

The Birthday sentiments are actually a set of 4.
This is one of them.
I cut the middle out so that I could fit the 40 inside.
I didn't want to put a massive number on her card, but wanted it to blend in, subtley.
I found that cutting the middle from the circle, gave it a whole new look...and you could use
anything in the middle, as I also used a decoupaged duo of flowers from the backing paper.
The 4 candles symbolise her decades.
(I drew on the stripes and dots myself with a white sakura pen)
Her name looks white, but its actually pink in real life.
(Cut with Sizzix Wingo Zingo font)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...
