Birthday cake for Dad

At  Patties Creations this month, we would like to to
include some "food / drink " on your project.

I used one of Patties newer images called
I know many, many people, who I could make a card for,
with this image on the front!
I decided to make this card for my Dad,
whose birthday is this week.
I made a rainbow cake for him, with icing and hundreds-and-thousands sprinkles on the top.
A little sign is stuck into the cake
and I used my new happy birthday die
(cut twice, once in black, once in white and layered over the top of "happy")
and made a little "Dad" sign with my (precious hearts) hanging bow and the letters of Dad dies.
The paper was a bargain pack I bought on the car boot sale last week
and I cut a patterned border with my fancy scissors.

Funnily enough, we went out for a meal at the weekend, with Dad,
and one of the cakes on the dessert menu, looked a LOT like this one!

Yoga

This week. over at the Colour Crazy Challenge,
our sponsor is: Little Blue Button stamps.
I used the image called 'Pose of an elongated triangle.'

I coloured this image with my promarker pens and fussy-cut it.
I embossed the edges of a dotty square and made her a little
yoga mat to work out on.
A simple background of  embossed stars
and a  hand-written "namaste" finished this card.

I am thinking of giving this card to a work colleague who loves yoga.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Wedding season.

Summer is almost here, and so is wedding season.
So,  Patties Creations would like you to share your "wedding" cards with us this month.

I used Pattie's image: wedding bands with ribbon.
I used my new gold/brown blend and dark red blend Tri-blend Spectrum noir pens.
3 pens in one - a great idea and super to work with.
The "congratulations" stamp is a new one too...
I bought it in a set on a car boot sale, for a few pence!
I think the embossing folder finishes this card well.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A gem of a challenge - atg - 22 June?

Pretty.

This week, over at the Colour Crazy challenge,
Ching Chou Kuik is sponsoring our "anything goes" challenge.
I used the image called "lucky clover."
(although I coloured the clovers, like they were flowers.)

The background paper is from Pink Petticoat - which is sadly no longer trading.
I dry embossed the edge of the image and the edge of the backing paper.
 I like this effect.
The sentiment was a freebie a loooooong time ago!
(I can't remember where from, sorry!)
I coloured the image with my alcohol pens and added a touch of liquid pearls, then a little diamond stickles glitter. She shimmers in the right light.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Pretty in pink.

For our challenge at the Colour Crazy Challenge this week,
our sponsor is Tiddlyinks.
As always - anything goes is the challenge.
The image is called "Bloom beautifully Emma"
and it comes as this image,
this image with a cute little girl
and the little girl on her own.
I chose just to use this part to make a card for a friend.

I coloured the image with my alcohol markers and added a computer generated sentiment.
The butterfly on the right was printed, fussy-cut and I used
3d foam on the back of the Wings to make it more 3D.
The backing paper came from my stash
and I inked and dry embossed the edges to finish.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A 60th card.

A work colleague friend is turning 60!
She loves her garden, so I thought the lovely image,
"Three cactus in pots" was a great image to use, from Patties Creations.
The theme of our challenge this month is "birthdays."

This was a great image to colour with my promarkers and other alcohol pens.
I backed the image on a piece of patterned card
and used diecuts for the words and numbers.
A little faux stitching and embossing finished the edges of this card.

Birds

I have joined in with team D this week, over at
The Colour Crazy Challenge
A day for daisies is the sponsor
and I used the image "afternoon snack."

I used my promarkers and alcohol pens to colour the image,
stamped the tree branch and flowers
and added some teeny diecut flowers over the top.
I chalked a sky background on the tag and ran an embossing folder
through my bigshot to create a textured background.

I may add a sentiment to this card, but haven't chosen it yet.

Lilies

At the Colour Crazy Challenge, we are being sponsored by
I love this image - called Calla Lilies.

This image is so lovely to colour; I used my promarkers
 and other alcohol pens.
I hand-wrote the sentiment  and drew
a few extra stalk ends beneath the sentiment.
The edges were inked and embossed and I finished off with two cuttlebug die-cut corners.

I am pleased with this simple and effective sympathy card.

Poppies.

At Patties Creations this month,
we are challenging you to make card with hand-coloured "flowers".

I chose to use Patties Poppies - a gorgeous image to colour!

I teamed the image with black and white paper, polka dot paper
and a few hints of red here n there, on a diecut shape.
(Including the diecut "love" word.)
The whole thing was then backed onto an embossed piece.
