A guest design spot!

I was selected to be a guest designer for Mari Ko Creations!

I was sent some really beautiful images to have a play with...
The first card is made using "fall floral coffee" -

I coloured the sweet image with my alcohol markers,
adding a strip of corrugated card for the middle section of the cup.
I fussy-cut the flowers and leaves, and popped them on 3d foam.
Some pretty papers and dry embossing, finished this card, along with a few
punched butterflies.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card.

I would like to add this card into the following challenges:

Alphabet challenge - nature - 12 Oct
Cute card thursday - autumn - 4 Oct
Crafty creations - atg - 9 Oct

The second card I made, uses the image "Apple cider and you"
(another beautiful image to work with.)
I embossed and hand-cut a frame, to fit around the sentiment -
which I printed directly onto the card.
(This set comes with both the image and the sentiment.)
After cutting out the image, I coloured it with alcohol markers and
and raised it a little on 3d foam.
I matted the frame, and inked the edges, finally adding a punched butterfly.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty catz - colours of autumn - 4 Oct

C.R.A.F.T - autumn / weather - 4 Oct
Little miss muffet - atg - 4 Oct

It's a kitten!

This week, over at the Colour Crazy challenge,
the challenge (as usual - everyone seems to love it!) is "anything goes."

I have been waiting and waiting for my turn to get this sponsor...

I loved colouring these kitties!
I used the same image, to create a card for a little boy and another for a little girl.
I thought I could get away with these images for younger children, rather than a new born.

Using my alcohol markers, I coloured the images...
and used a "pointilism" technique to colour the sky and grass.
(little tiny dots in varying colours, to create one main colour.)
They were both mounted on white card, inked round the edges and
backed again onto gingham card.
The edge of the gingham card was dry embossed.
A computer generated sentiment and a number in the balloon finished off each card.
(I also added a few little Martha Stewart punched butterflies to Ella's card.)
I hope they are well received!

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:
Kitty bee designs - atg / animals - 14 Sept
Always happy birthday - happy birthday - 29 Sept
Little miss muffet - atg - 19 Sept

Magical Unicorn

Patties Creations has the "fairytale / fantasy "
theme for our challenge this month.
I used 'Unicorn.'

...which I coloured with my alcohol pens, and as it's a unicorn,
I HAD to add some glitter, so popped some strands of diamond stickles through her mane
and a few spots on some of the embossed stars in the background.
The butterflies were punched with my Martha Stewart punch
and the sentiment came from Pink Petticoat - no longer trading, sadly.
I don't think you can tell from the photograph, but the unicorn has
a light coating with wink of stella dusty glitter.

It's so pretty when it catches the light.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Brown sugar - all creatures great and small - 1 Oct
Always happy birthday - happy birthday - 29 Sept
Digi doodle studios - mythical/ magical - 28 Sept
