Tonights offerings....

I have been making some cards recently for a fair I was selling at.....

This first card is one of my favourites.
I can't remember where I got the image as I've had since I don't know when.
But I simply decoupaged the front flowers,
added some G.A to to middles of each flower
and finally embossed the edge of the card to make the image stand out a little more.

I shaped the bottom of this card - freehand, and I REALLY like the effect.
I got this idea from QVC  a couple of weeks ago, when it was craft day.
They were showing a set of cards with this fancy-shaped, embossed bottom part.
I thought,"I can do that!"
so got out my Big Shot, some embossing folders
and cut myself a template for the shape along the bottom.
And "HEY PRESTO!"
I think there will be more of this shape to come......

I was asked to make this card.
"Baking stuff for Grandma, please!"
OK!
These are digi-images, which I cut out and decoupaged some of
wih a bit of G,A for dimension.
Teeny little faux stitching drawn round the edge
of the gingham, for extra effect.
The reciever was very happy with this card...which makes me happy too!  xx

Cards...

Wow... so many cards to make for March and April!

So here's a dent in my load of card for this month.....
This cat card is quit plain and simple...
Pc generated sentiment, embossed round the edge of the image
and round the edge of the card,
then little gems here and there, with glossy accents on the cats eye.

I was asked to make this Mothers day card...
"with Eidleweiss on, please!!"
i deoupaged and glossy accented the eidleweiss.
It's hard to tell on this pic, but the bottom part of the white card
is embossed with curls and hand-shaped and cut.
Inked round the edges just to give some definition.

A really quick card...
image printed and added pc sentiment.
Decoupaged the tray and glittered the rose.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you might leave. xx

Half terms done and I've been crafting!

Well, I have been busy this half term...
Here are pics of some of the cards I have made.
(Been making "other things" too... will show you soon!)

This first card was made for a music lover.
I decupaged the violin and added plenty of glossy accents, as well as a digi sentiment.
I have also had a thing recently, for butterflies...
they keep appearing on my cards! :)

 Spot the butterflies! ;)
I thought this image was great fro a fresh and funky card for an
18 yr old girl.
Papermania papers gave a bit of "Zing!" to the background.

This one, I made for a friend who isn't feeling too great at the min.
It's a Pink Petticoat image and backing paper.
I coloured the bird with my watercolour pencils and
used paper flowers and a butterfly(!) to adorn it.

I was asked to make this card for a little girl who has been in hospital recently.
She has difficulty seeing, but I know she loves her art,
so made this with one biog and bold image, a colourful background
and glossy accents over her name, so she can feel her name.
(I handcut the paintbrush.)
Thanks for looking.  xxx

Ooooh, men!

Why is it, that the two men I had to make cards for last week,
don't drink beer, or like footie? Typical!

So, this  card I made for my friend, who I happen to know, likes
a good brew! He's always on his "lappy" and likes a game every now and then, on his wii.
I grabbed together some digi images and decoupaged the brew and the wii remote.
Of  course, glossy accents features heavily! x

..and this one, I made for my sisters man who likes a good movie.
Digi elements again, with some decoupaged elements...popcorn, cushion, etc.
Thanks for looking and any comments... xxx

A couple of commissions

I love it when I get a commission, but at the same time...
I always worry if the buyer will like the finished card!!

A friend at work asked me to make this one, for her man.
The only stipulation she gave me, was there had to be some embossing
on iot...she loves the embossed look!
I know he's quite a handman and enjoys that kind of stuff, so I used loads
of digi elements altogether to create this image.
I decoupaged some of the tools and used plenty of G.A.

I took a close-up picture of the next card.

This was for a 5 yr old girl, not very girly, who loves cats.
I thought she would adore this image!
Her name and age are made from "Sue Dreamer" stickers.
I also used Docrafts paper and craftworks cards sentiment.
Stars and butterfly for a die cut pack from poundland!

 I love this card...
if i do say so myself! hahaha...
digi paper, inked with brown chalk. Digi image , decoupaged,
also the letters of her name.
Pc generated sentiment and punched bitterflies,
with stickles glitter on the wings.
Thanks for looking and comments xxx

A selection of cards for men...

I felt inspired to make some mens cards last night, to put in my "box"....

I thought these can images were great for some quick and simple cards...

I used glossy accents on the can images, although you can't see that on the pics...

I used my white sakura pen to put some little extra bits here and there -
lines and dots, etc.

....and I must admit, I am quite pleased with them!!!

Back to it...

I've been crafting away in black and white, lately.
I like the monochrome look.
Oh, and I had some birthday cards to make for friends, too! :)

I love this embossed border, bought it from a craft show a few years ago.
The stamp is a recent purchase, from Hobbycraft.
The sentiment was a free stamp in Creativity magazine a few months ago.
I decoupaged some of the stamp...the birdhouse and birds,
and added pearls to the embossed flowers.

I used the same birdhouse stamp,
decoupaged the house and birds again,
a few punched butterflies, and
a "FRIENDS" stamp, which I got from QVC yonks ago...and I had
forgotten I had it!

This lovely chandelier is a Pink Petticoat image.
(The backing paper too!)
The silver butterflies are my first try with my new craftler stapler
and staples... I love em!  Dead easy to use
and you can put them anywhere in a page!

Had to make these cat cards again...they have been popular and are
quick and easy to make.
Thanks for looking and any comments you might leave! xx

A January birthday and.. I forgot to show you another!

I made this quickly, last week
for a relative whose birthday was this weekend.
Image is a digi-image from S.J , which I absolutely love!
I decoupaged parts, added a craftwork cards sentiment
and a few butterflies with opening wings.
I backed the image onto Pink Petticoat paper and
embossed simply, around the image.

Tjis is the card I forgot to show you...I made it for a birthday just before Christmas...
I was bag of nerves while I made this card...
It was a comission from a friend at work - for her niece.
"She loves Harry Styles and I don't think shes a girly-pink-girl."
Oh Help!!
This is the finished product....
(It looks a lot better in real life...honest!)
I diecut her name and age, made my own butterflies, with open wings,
added gems to her name and a bit of sparkle here-and-there.
I superimposed the lippy on his cheek,,,hopefully looking like she kissed him and
he's sending her one back!
My friend absolutely loved it, and apparently it went
down a storm with her niece!!!

Has it really been so long....

...Since I last blogged?!
I didn't realise!!!
So I shall show you a selection of the Christmas cards I have made this year....

I think this first card up, is one of my faves this year.
Made personally for my sister, her fella and their little girl.
I made the image myself from about 15 separate digi-images and
decoupaged a lot of it too...
glossy accents here and there and a few martha stewart snowflakes
- kindly punched for my by a docrafts buddy! -
craftwork cards sentiment and
papermania embossing folder for the background.
I loved putting this together :)

This is a cute card that I made quite a few of, in the end.
Easy and quick to make.
Printed out image with my own greeting,
matted and layered onto colour and papermania
embossing folder....can't you tell I just bought it this year!  ;)

 I love this homely image...
I found it on Beccys place, so thankyou, Beccy - I made a few with this image!
(Coloured with my watercolour pencils and pc generated sentiment).

 Another quick and easy set...
papermania embossing folder and my own martha stewart punch.
sentiments are either craftwork cards, stamped or pc generated.

I bought a couple of sets of peg stamps earlier in the year and loved
using them to make this card and the ones that follow....
Its a shame the photo doesn't pick it up too well,
but the card above is so sparkly irl.
"warm wishes" stamp is from a set I bought from QVC TSV ages ago.

I had to buy this set as I love that little branch
- I feel I can do a lot with that branch, all year round -
and the little Christmas flowers have a gem in the center of each.

Yet another set of the peg stamps meant I could make a little mistletoe wreath.

And finally, This is from an embossing folder I have had for a few years,
I simply added a pc sentiment and a diecut star!
Thanks for looking (and commenting!),..more to come soon xx

My Nieces birthday card

Just wanted to share this card I made for our nieces 8th birthday recently.

She absolutely loves reading the rainbow fairies books...
I have lost count of the number of those books she has read!
I wanted to make her a card with a fairy and a rainbow on, and merged some images
to come up with this.
I used glamour dust on the edges of her wings and tiara,
and added a sparkly butterfly cut on my BS.
(PS...She loved it!)

Girly cards

I had been asked to make some girly cards recently..

This photo does not do this card justice...it is sooo sparkly in real life!
The image is a digi element, which I printed a couple of times and decoupaged,
adding lots of stickles and glamour dust!
I diecut the butterfly on my BS.

I forgot I had this pp image!
How could I forget?
I still love it!
I used lots of pinks and girly lavenders,
pearls and glossy accented bubbles round the bath.
Punched flowers and diecut numbers on my BS.

I've started my Christmas cards!

At last!
Every year, I say I will start making my christmas cards in half term
(late Oct, and I always start them in December!) but I really have this yr!
Infact, half term is next week and I have made 7 now...all different!

I got some new stamps recently...
like tapestry stamps, or morsel stamps.
It took a few goes, but after a bit of practice, I worked out this wreath made of snowflakes.
I added stickles to the centre of each flake
and embossed the edges of the card.
Stamped sentiment in the middle...I forgot I had this stamp!!!
It's so much nicer in real life!

I'm not sure what this flower is, but thought it quite christmassy,
with the wreath of twigs and a gold gem in the centre of each flower.
I embossed the edge again.

 This is my mistletoe wreath.
Stamped and glittered with stickles.
Computer generated sentiment inside the wreath.

This final one is my holly wreath.
Its hard to see, but I have dotted each berry with a red glittery pen
and added some tiny gold gems onto some of the wreath twigs.
Stamped sentiment.
Embossed round the edge.
Thanks for looking...

A varied selection!

I have been dabbling with a few cards since being back to work...

This card was a commission form a friend at work....
I gave it to her today and she was thrilled with it!!! Thank goodness!
I wanted to make the card quite modern and trendy...and for a male. Hmmm....
This took a LOT of thought!

I have seen this type of image on lots of cards recently, and think it
is lovely....
I made my own...hand-drew the hearts, and added
pearls to one and a "tux" to the other.
Simply layered onto embossed strip.
Computer generated sentiment.

This had to be a quick one...I was asked one evening to make this...for the next day...
Ooooh, the stress!
I knew the woman (whose birthday it was...Julie) made gingerbread,
so used a gingerbread man in the main image...
along with digi presents and balloon.
Of course, some glossy accents got popped on there too!

I made a card similar to this, not long ago. That card was for a man
who had just gained his blackbelt...this card was
for a woman who has just passed her blackbelt!
I used the same stuff as for the mans card, but changed it by taking away
the grey background and adding the red matting.
(Black ribbon to represent the blackbelt.)

This is such a cute image... I have had it ages and never used it!
I decoupaged the cat, the flowers on one girls hat
and the ribbon and flowers on the other girls hat.
A bit of G.A here and there -
as usual!
I thought the image fit beautifully with the sentiment.
Thanks for looking

Just back from my holiday...

...So I thought I would pop on some cards I made before I went away.

I made this for my card box...I just thought
the image was so lovely!
I decoupaged their hats, shoes and butterflies.   x

 I like these coffeee images
so I sized them ot fit 4 on the card.
I haven't added any sentiment yet.
Don't think I will on this one.
Just leave it as a blank card I think, for any message inside.  x

I made this for a friends little boy - who will be 2 in October...
How good am I? Onto my October cards in August!
I have started thinking about my christmas cards, but no definate plans yet.
I used some digi downloads that I got free on a website agggges ago...
"Old McDonalds farm"
I decoupaged the animals heads and used my pc to put the
little boys name and age on the image.  x

Set of "delightful birthday" cards

I liked the thankyou set so much, I decided to make a similar birthday set...

I used pink petticoat image and paper on this card...
I printed it out a while ago. so I can't remember which kit it came from, sorry!
(Image from simply delightful set)
Little silver gems added,
and matted with black!

Exactly the same as above, only I used the negative paper to the card above.

I matted the image and embossed the outside black mat...
on the card.
Dead easy.

For this final card, I used an embossing folder
and some silver gems, with black oganza ribbon.

Thanks for looking! x
