Winter fun
and when I saw this bauble image, I knew immediately how I could
turn it into a winter-fun card...
Seeing as one of our kitties loves to climb the Christmas tree
(we have not been able to have any of our glass decorations up for the last 2 years
while we have had our little two!) I thought I would sit one on a bauble, while the other watches.
The cats (and mouse) are actually peel-offs!
I don't really use peel-offs normally,
but thought they would be "purrfect" for this card!

Ship in a bottle
When we were younger, I am sure my Dad made one of these.
I coloured it with my promarkers and popped it on a little 'stand'
made of scraps of card, inked around the edges.
The backing paper is from a 12 x 12 set I bought in a pound shop a looooong time ago.
I made sure that the word CANADA can be seen just underneath the bottle, as that's
where we have had a fair few wonderful holidays!
The edges of that were carefully torn and inked.
I t needed something on the edge to help it all pull together, so I opted for a thick black and thinner brown hand-drawn line.

A new sponsor for us!
(The kits are supposed to look like our two kits.)
I left the chair until last, as I didn't want it to dominate the image
so decided to colour it light grey, then added a simple dotted pattern to it,
with some teeny-weeny faux stitching around the edges.
I popped the image on a fancy rectangle diecut and a strip of backing paper.
The sentiment was stamped from a set I have had for yonks.
With love

Spring soon
Well, what a year so far....
We are back in lockdown - again. - ish.
I'm not going into it, but let's just say that last time we locked down, we had max 38 children
in school, and this time there are 130.
All available staff are in. It's crazy. It's stressful. It needs to change!
Now to get on with my card before I blow my top...
A lovely image called Heart of Spring by Ching Chou Kuik.
I coloured her with my promarkers and wanted to keep her simple.
So I inked the edges and dry embossed around the image.
A few punched butterflies and a stamped sentiment finished this card.
