Babies / Children

This week, over at Glitter n Sparkle, the challenge is to make a card with the theme 

babies / children.

 My first card was made with an image from Bugaboo... "Boo Peek horse"

I coloured this image with soft colours with my promarker and mirage pens. 

I used a backing paper form the dovecraft "tea party" set. 

The banner along the middle is also a dovecrafts paper...from the pet collection.

In the corner, to finish off, I popped some cuttlebug diecut corners.

When / if I need to, there is room for me to add a name to this card, to personalise it.

My second image this week, comes from Lacy Sunshine... "Freesia flower pot pretties"

Again, coloured with my promarkers and mirage pens. 

I used a marianne diecut and snipped and rearranged it, slightly.

The butterfly is diecut from cheery lynn and 2 dovecraft flowers finished this card.

Use some yellow...

This weeks challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle, is to add some yellow...

I got this image "Better than Tarzan" from Stamping Chef.

I used my promarkers and mirage pens to colour her

and a digi frame i made on the pc, from a camouflage backing paper. 

I bought the cheeta paper in a little set, in America, about 10 years ago,

 and I have never used it - before now!

I handcut the little tag at the bottom, which is waiting for a sentiment, and punched the border.

Curious George

I was recently asked to make a "Curious George " birthday card, and came up with this...

You can't see from the photo, but I put glossy accents on the bincoculars

and used my new docrafts alphabet dies for the letters of her name. 

A craftwork cards sentiment was the finishing touch, on the dovecrafts background paper.

The punched butterfly is from Martha Stewart.

Fathers day challenge...

This week, over at Glitter n Sparkle, we are challenging you 

to make a fathers day card, this week...

I used "fathers day" image from QKR Stampede 

and also the sentiment "my Dad" came from there, too.

She is coloured with my promarkers and mirage pens.

The wood-look frame and colours behind it, are a digi that I have had for ages 

and cannot remember where I got it from...sorry!

I raised the frame on foam pads, and you can just about see

that I also dry-embossed just inside the outer edge of the card, too.

Cat digi

What a super-cute cat I got this week,

over at Glitter n Sparkle! 

(Daisy kitten form Fresh Brewed Designs)

I coloured her with my promarkers...

as you can see, I usually colour my cats in grey, 'cos I have 5 grey shades

and not enough shades of any other colour! lol!!

But... that has all changed... 

I have been to a craft fair today and invested in some more mirage alcohol markers,

so should be able to have some different coloured cats soon! heheh...

I cut out the label shape on my bigshot,

chalked the edges which it was still in the die, inked the edges

and hand-wrote the (very true!!) sentiment. 

I got the backing paper last weekend, from "the works."

There are about 32, 6 x 6 papers in the pack...and they cost just 99p!!

 Thought I would have a doodle this week,

and came up with this little collection, after being inspired 

by looking on the internet...

This is the overall collection..

...hand doodled... each card took about 10 mins!

I just drew straight on, with pen, 

coloured hap-hazardly in my promarkers

and embossed a line around the edge.

 For this final card, 

I remembered some toppers I had... well...

they are actually from wrapping paper! I cut out all the cans separately 

and backed them on card, to give them a bit of strength.

Then just worked round the image...

Have sold this one, already!

Cute!

This week, over at Glitter n Sparkle, I got a really cute image...

Garden cat pots form Bugaboo.

I can't actually remember where I got this paper from... I know

it was in a set of papers, but that's it!

I punched the flowers in glittery card and added gems for the middles.

I coloured the image with a mix of promarkers and mirage markers. 

I have had loads of cards to make this week, while I have been off on half term hols

and I'm afraid I left this one till a bit last minute.. slap my wrists!
