Another "sassy" card

Here's the second card I made for this weeks "sassy" challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle...

The image is "Cameo 7" from Fitztown.
I really loved colouring her.
This one came together quite easily, using a 6 x 6 paper from a pack
I bought in "the works".
The strip across the middle, is from an offcut of a friends old wallpaper!
The butterflies are Martha Stewarts punched butterflies.
You can't see so well on the pic, but there are bits of gold glitter in the rose in her hair.
The sentiment took the longest time to come up with.
I thought she was looking quite thoughtful, and hopefully, I have
managed to make this card quite humorous, with the addition of the sentiment.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges..

Card 1 for this weeks challenge...

"Kitty in window" from Inky Impressions
was the image I was given to use on this card, for our "sassy" challenge
- which I found really difficult!

I decided to keep it quite simple, and make it just the right size to fit on a 6 x 6 card.
There's quite a lot to colour on this image,
but I really enjoyed it! (using my promarkers and mirage pens)
This card brings my fave things together... cats and chocolate!
The sentiment reads... "chocolate is the answer... who cares what the question is?"
How true!
I embossed a clean and simple line all around the image.

Butterfly themed card number 2

This is the second card I made with the "butterfly" theme at Glitter n Sparkle.
I thought I'd go a bit more C.A.S...

The image was lovely to colour - Lizabeth butterfly kisses from Lacy Sunshine.
I decided this was such a lovely image, I would keep it quite simple.
After colouring the image, with my promarkers and mirage pens,
I only added another 2 butterflies and a sentiment.
I matted the whole thing on a lavender backing paper
and embossed a simple, clean line around it all.
I made the sentiment with different fonts, on the pc.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...
Creative corner - girly - 29 Aug

Oh, I love this challenge!

What a brilliant challenge this week over at Glitter n Sparkle -
add some butterflies!
Oh, so simple for me...I add butterflies to most of my cards! (just love 'em!)
I also got the chance to make 2 cards with this theme and
this is the first one... (ps... I also love ladybirds!!)

Image is "Ladybird Butterfly" from Bugaboo.
Sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.
Coloured with my promarkers and mirage pens.
The backing paper is from a "paper cellar" pack of 6 x 6 papers.
The swirly leaf is a marianne die
and I punched out the red flowers and added a black or white diecut centre
with a gem, to finish, I added dots with my white sakura pen -
all around the edges of the flowers,
and dotted black round other areas.
I was quite pleased with how this turned out.
Think the flowers are my favourite bit.

A bit of a dreamer

I just love this image - Suzette, from the Stamping Chef.

The challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle this week, is to "add some metal".
I've been looking for an excuse to use that metal butterlfy, since I bought at
at a craft show last year!
I used glossy accents to stick it to the card...
have never used that as a glue before, but it worked really well.
I coloured Suzette (which aso comes with the butterflies too)
with my Promarkers and mirage pens.
The paper along the side was an offcut from a paper pack.
(There's also an embossed offcut piece behind the image, too)
The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat... and it's so true!
The bubbles were a very last min thing...
I had some bubbles left over from a card I had just made for some friends,
and thought a couple would sit beautifully on this card... it looks so dreamy!

Yey!! My friends are pregnant!

How overjoyed am I?!
So, I quickly set about making them this card...

I won this fab image a little while ago, from "Make it Crafty"
and knew it was the perfect time to use it.
I made a word cloud, in a heart shape, on Tagul
and fussy cut the image (which I had coloured with promarkers / mirage pens)
and raised it slightly on 1mm foam.
I just got a phonecall from Andrew (dad to be)...they loved it....
and are going to frame it!!! :) :) :)

Wedding card

It's wedding season!!
(And that's just the theme for this weeks Glitter n Sparkle blog challenge!)

The backing paper came from a set I bought in 'The Works' for 99p.
I die-cut the window and shutters...
slap my wrists, I had forgotten I had those dies!
The image is such a cutie...'Wedding Amy' from Crafty Sentiments.
I glittered her veil and little parts of her dress, to add some sparkle.
A craftwork cards sentiment, a diecut precious heart and
MS punched butterflies finished this card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges..

Friday 8 August 2014

Today is....

Our 9th wedding anniversary.
I have made my wonderful husband, this card.

I tried not to go too fussy - he doesn't do fuss!
The image is a gorgeous one from Di's digi downloads.
It's the first time I have printed off and coloured it.
I bought the stamp in Canada - well, just across the border,
in Hobby Lobby, in the USA.
The papers are really old papers, from docrafts 'colossal collection' ...
years and years ago!
I think most of us bought these papers 'cos
they were such good value,
and most of us have loads of em left! hahaha..
I finished every edge with chalks... blue chalks around each edge of the papers
and I also chalked a background around the image, to give it some depth.

Glitter n Sparkle it.

The challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle this week, is to add some glitter n sparkle!

The image (girls) is called 'Like totally 80's' from Fresh Brewed Designs.
I didn't have any neon bright colours, so printed off some paper in those colours
and paper-pieced every bit of the neon-ness they are wearing!!
...it took aggges! hahah.
The backing paper came from the www.
The glitterball, stereo and lava lamp were digi images I have on the pc.
I find glitter very difficult to photograph...
but I used stickles icicle on all the white lines around the 'I 80's' and
the glitterball is covered with gold stickles, also there's
some on the brunettes top and leggins.
I handcut a few stars in the left over paper, to finish the card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...

Anniversary card

It's my Mum and Dads anniversary today, so I made
them this card...

I got the stamp when we went to hobby lobby, over in the states, at Easter.
The backing paper is from a set of black n white papers
I bought, for £1.00 in 'the works'.
I love this paper... its so modern and 'fun'.
(I added the odd gem in places too)
I punched the flowers with 3 different punches
and added a black and white cat (memory box die cuts) along the bottom...
they both love cats.
A couple of silver Martha Stewart punched
butterflies finished this card off.
