January birthdays...

I have a few coming up!
I haven't done any crafting  this week - what with Christmas
and decorating the kitchen!
Must be mad to do it at this time of the year, but we go out for Christmas lunch,
Christmas evening buffet, and boxing day dinner, so we haven't needed to cook for a few days.
We are entertaining tomorrow evening, but are back up and running
... even though there is plenty left to paint - and "create!"

Anyway - here's my card the this weeks challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle -
a lovely, easy challenge, "anything goes"...
and my card, using - Cupcake Wreath - from Eureka.

I coloured the image with my promarkers -
it took a while, as all those little teeny confetti pieces were so fiddly to colour! Lol..
The candles are finished with glossy accents, although that hasn't shown up on the pic.
The sentiment in the middle is from Pink Petticoat - although
I think the set might now be retired... it's called Girly Curly sentiments.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...

Just realised....

That I didn't get round to sharing the family Christmas cards I made this year...

I used the same theme.
I haven't used my Memory box frostyville border, very much and I do love it,
and with my new ( well, bought earlier in the year and never used)
poinsettia die - and some old papers that I have had for years...

Oh, and I have just realised that there is a couple I missed taking pics of... oh well.
They are similar to these, but using other backing papers.

Seeing as they are all so similar and all red / green / poinsettia / snowy border themed,
I would like to enter them into the following challenges....

Traditional christmas

"Traditional Christmas colours"
is the challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle this week
and I got another gorgeous image from the wonderful
'A Day for Daisies'...called The Mistletoe.

I knew straight away, that I would make my Hubbys Christmas card with this image.
I spent ages trying to come up with a suitable sentiment to put with it...
he knows this is just the kind of thing I would say to him :)
Lol:)
But then I had the task of making it 'not too girly.'
So, the traditional colours theme was good for this card...
I used my promarkers to colour the image
and a snowflake embossing folder for the background,
along with  DCWV green backing paper.
I simply cut the mistletoe myself, from green card, with my tiny scissors.
The HUSBAND was cut on my die cutter - sizzix wingo zingo font.
The holly was punched with a 50p holly punch I bought on a car boot sale over summer.

A glittery christmas!

Over at  the Glitter n Sparkle blog this week, the
challenge is to "glittery sparkly christmas"
and I got this gorgeous image....

'Christmas frame' from Floppy Latte at Stitchy Stamps.
All this gorgeous image needed was colouring, a bit of glitter and a sentiment.
I love the sentiment - I got it quite a while go, as  a free digi,
but I'm sorry - I don't remember where it was from.
I dragged out my fine, multicoloured glitters and glamour dust for this one. the house rooftops,
stars, bow and candy-cane are all glittered.
Everything else is coloured with my promarkers and mirage pens.

A little bit of christmas magic...

Such a lovely image,
'Sugar Plum' from Ditzie designs,
I knew straight away it wouldn't need too much ....

So I coloured her with my purple and pink promarkers,
as this weeks challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle is to use modern christmas colours
(on a christmas image, obviously).
I edged her in my pastel beige promarker to make her stand off the page a bit,
and added plenty of sparkle...
Glamour dust is sprinkled around her and also
a whole thin border around the card too.
A simple sentiment, which I created in Publisher, finished this card.
