Hi! thought I would share with you some
new "patchwork" cards I have made.
I just thought these were a bit different and
something I have been wanting to try for a while.
This first card is a regular pattern patchwork card...
It is made of 9 squares of paper, cut from Pink Petticoat papers.
Each square has been inked around the edges and a little faux-stitching
has been added with a fineliner pen.
I dry embossed a simple line around the edge of the squares.
I stamped the sentiment and added a couple of punched butterflies,
with a little sparkly gem on each.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The sisterhood of crafters - sentiment focal point - 8 Sept
Lil patch of crafty friends - atg - 6 Sept
Crafty Calendar - atg - 1 Sept
Di's digi challenge - lots of squares - 30 Aug
Creations in pink - mainly pink - 15 Sept
This second patchwork card is more of an irregular patchwork, made for my friend.
She loves these muted, neutral colours.
I took a couple of papers that worked well together
and careful cut a different sized piece from each paper.
It was trickier than I thought, to get all the pieces to match up
while making a patchwork effect.
Like the last card, I inked the edges of each piece and used a brown fineliner pen to
draw some faux-stitching around the edge of each piece.
Again, the sentiment was stamped and punched butterflies were added.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Simon says stamp - atg - 3 Sept
Paper funday - atg - 2 Sept
Sparkles - use at least 3 patterned papers - 15 Sept
