A little late..

Well, this one has been a long time coming...
we have had no internet for a while, problems with our provider, and then the router box,
and then the next one it was replaced with!
(and there have been loads of postal strikes, which have hampered things too!)

Anyway - I got this on here in the end...a little late though...
Patties Creations - Peek a boo elf.

This was quite quick to make, once I had the idea.
I coloured the elf with my promarkers and other alcohol pens,
added a few little patterns with my white sakura pen and fussy cut
all the way around him.
I cut some stripey chirstmas paper to look like a wrapped present and added some
spots and stitches on it with my white pen.
The sentiment was stamped.
(I also dry embossed all around the edge.)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...

Exclusive!

Hi! Over at the Colour Crazy Challenge this week, we sadly do not have a sponsor.
However, it does mean that we can use an image from any sponsor we like...
I used a new image from Patties Creations ...

Infact, it is soooo new, that it's not even out there yet.,..
so this is exclusive!
All I can say is, keep watching Patties page for this very cute and versatile image..
coming very soon!

I just loved how I could make this image look so different
for my sister and her family.
I used my promarkers and other alcohol pens to colour the mugs of delicious hot choc.
I tried to colour each mug like a mug I would choose to buy each of her family.
Before I printed the images, I used a different sentiment to put their names on.

All the rest of the card needed, was a few
diecut snowflakes, a stamped sentiment and a cute slice of christmassy paper
for the mugs to sit on.

I think this one will make my sister smile.

I also think I will be making more on a similar theme for other family members...

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Party time!

November is here already and it's tome for
another challenge at Pattie's CReations.

This time, I have used the image "Pinata and 2 maracas"
(but I didn't use the maracas on this card)

It w\s a lovely image to colour and fussy-cut.
I used a bow from my "precious hearts" die cut shape
and stamped and coloured the bough on blue paper.
The image has been stamped and I inked
and faux-stitched around the edges.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Cheers!

For our latest challenge at "The Colour Crazy Challenge"
we have welcomed our sponsor :  Scribbles designs.
I got the fab image, beer mugs.

I printed the image twice, as a mirror image so that I could
"clink" the mugs together.
I coloured them using my promarkers and other alcohol pens
and added a backing paper, which I inked the edges of.
I cut out the sentiment on my big-shot and
punched some stars, along with using a little
dovecrafts pearl effects, to act as bubbles, popping from the mugs.
I embossed the outside edge of the card with a simple, straight line
and hand-drew a simple border around the edge of the patterned paper.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

I used the very cute image called Darcy and Bumble.
I used my promarkers and other alcohol pens to colour the image,
added a computer generated sentiment
and embossed a star background on my bigshot.
A little backing paper and some glitter here n there
(on her shoes and Bumble's wings. )

Birthday flowers

I made this card for our challenge at The Colour Crazy Challenge -
using this image "tulips" from Sheepski Designs...

I coloured the image with my promarkers and other alcohol pens.
I used a stamp for the sentiment and used some backing papers that came as a freebie
with a magazine, yonks ago!
The butterflies are punched with my Martha Stewart punch.
Faux stitching with a pink fineliner finished this card off.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

School days

Over at Pattie's Creations this month, Pattie's challenge
is "anything goes / school days."
I went along the school days theme, but with a twist..

This card is for my Niece, who has just got her A-Level results
and got into Uni. I'm so proud of her!

The image comes as a set of pencils, which I cut up - a very easy fussy-cut.
I used my promarkers and other alcohol markers to colour the pencils.
I stamped the sentiment, which came in a set I got on the car boot sale a few weeks ago.
I inked the edges in allsorts of colours, to give a rainbow effect edge.

I would like to add this into the following challenges:

Cute camera girl

At The Colour Crazy Challenge this time,
we are being sponsored by "All Dressed Up."
I have used the gorgeous image called,
"Smile - it's your birthday!"

I coloured the image with my promarkers and other alcohol pens
and used a lovely trendy flower backing paper behind it.
The image some with the sentiment, placed where it is on my card,
so all I wanted to add was the recipients name (which I handwrote).
I inked the edges of everything,
dry embossed a line around the backing paper
and added  a few punched butterflies and a few dovecraft paper
flowers, layered on top of each other.

Here is a close-up...

I would like to add this into the following challenges:

Summer fun

At Patties Creations, her challenge this week is
beach / under the sea / anything goes.
I used her fab image called "Hang Thirty"
(I have no clue what this means, or why it's called this..hahah)

I coloured the sand, fence and sky first, with my promarkers and alcohol pens.
I added some white brilliance inkpad swirls to form clouds, and
a little white sakura pen to give them slight definition.
I paper-pieced the surfboards and inked the edges
and made some little bunting out of the same papers.
The "birthday" is a diecut. I handwrote "Happy" and "Charlie"

I got this simply lovely image, called Floral 1.

As soon as I saw this image, I knew I wanted to make a simple card.
It was a lovely image to colour with my promarkers.
The background was embossed on my bigshot.
The sentiment was stamped.
Punched butterflies finished off this card.

Summer Fun

Hi all!
Its the start of our new challenge at Patties Creations!
The challenge is always anything goes, or a theme runs each month too -
this time it is 'Summer Fun!'

I used images from 2 of Patties sets: Flip flop trio and Seashells border 2.
The Flip Flops were fun to colour - They come in a set of 3
but I chose 2 pairs and made them look fun and summery,
with my promarkers and other alcohol pens.
I tore up a piece of sandy looking card and white card, layered them over a blue paper
to form a sand/ sea combo.
The white was tucked just under the brown, to look like the water's edge.
I printed the seashells rather small and coloured them too.
I added a touch of stickles to the blue paper, to give sparkly reflections of the sea.
The sentiment is from a new set of stamps I got recently, from a bootsale
and I added the heart so close that it looks like part of the word (I hope!).
I carefully edged all edges with ink pads.
I am pleased with this card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Creative knockouts - outside fun - 7 July
Crafty gals - atg - 13 July
Passion for markers - just not birthday - 5 July

Girly birthday

Welcome to my blog!
I'd like to share a card I made for my DT position at The Colour Crazy Challenge Blog -

I used an image from a new sponsor for us - Conie Fong.
This one is called "Princess Molly with balloon"
I coloured this with my promarkers and other alcohol pens
and popped it on 3d foam pads, with some co-ordinating papers behind.
The butterflies are from my Martha Stewart punch and I diecut the lacey border.
The balloon has been covered with glossy accents to give it that shiny look.

My favourite springtime flower

At Pattie's Creations this month,
I have used the lovely image "sweet nectar"
for her "anything goes / things that fly" challenge...

I coloured this image with my promarkers and other alcohol pens,
and added some slight glimmer with a Wink of Stella
on the bird. The utterflies were punched and the fancy corner is
a cuttlebug diecut shape.
The sentiment was stamped and I layered it all on
a piece rom a 6 x 6 paperpack which I bought in The Works.

A fab new sponsor for our team...

Welcome back! Thanks for visiting me to see what I've been up to.
I've been enjoying myself recently, with images from a new sponsor

Their images are gorgeous and new to me,
and I couldn't resist using both images to make cards with.
My first card uses the image "donut stack."
The sentiment comes with the image - and there are a few other sentiments too,
which my teammies have used.
I coloured the image with my promarkers and other alcohol pens
and popped it onto a lovely backing paper - kraft paper with white hearts on
(recently bought in Hobbycraft).
I added a strip of stripy paper and some "confetti" -
which I had forgottten all about, until I started putting this card together. ..

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

My next card also uses a Twinkle Lane Designs image:  New Baby.
This was so lovely to colour with my promarkers and I used so many different blues!
I 3d-foamed the rattles ad alphabet blocks, matted and layered,
added some punched butterflies and a bit of dry embossing around the edge.
For the sentiment, I used half of a diecut shape,
inked around the edges and I hand-wrote the "welcome!" myself.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

At last...

I'm a bit late with this - sorry!
Our challenge over at Pattie's Creations is anything goes - or Flowers.
I used Patties delightful image - potted daffodils.
I made it into a mothers day card for my mum...

I coloured the daffs and pot with my promarkers and other alcohol pens and
fussy-cut some of the daffs, to put on 3d foam to give them some depth.
I used the head of one of the daffs and drew a stalk to it, to use as a flower along the bottom of the
pc generated sentiment.
The butterfly is also one of Patties images, coloured in the same way.
I sat the image on the edge of the frame,
dry embossed the edges of the white rectangle, and added a diecut
corner in the top right hand corner.

My Mum was thrilled with this card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Dragonfly dreams - butterflies and or flowers - June 5
Sheepski designs - for the girlz - 1 June
Gem of a challenge - atg - 21 May

Retro birthday

Over at the Colour Crazy Challenge blog this week,
the very popular Dr Digi is our sponsor.
I got this fab, retro image "unwind"
and used it to make a card for my friend's birthday.

I used some retro patterned papers from my DCWV paper pack,
inked all the edges and added white dots with my sakura pen.
The image was simple to colour and I
drew on some lines to make it look like an old cassette tape I used to have
and it was also handy to have somewhere
to write the sentiment!
You can't tell on the picture, but I
used glossy accents on the tape parts of the cassette.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Mother's Day

At Patties Creations, the usual "anything goes" challenge
has just started - but you can join in with the theme, which is butterfly/dragonfly.
I used two of Patties images:
Butterfly 1 (both butterflies are this image, just flipped and resized.)
and Succulents with hanging vases...

I wanted to make this into a Mothers day card for my mother-in-law
and used backing papers in colours I knew she would love.
I added a sentiment onto the succulents image, which I coloured with my promarkers
and other alcohol markers.
I used glossy accents on the vases and coloured and fussy-cut the butterflies.
I added a little 3d foam underneath the wings to give some dimension
and a punched leaf next to the sentiment.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Hummingbird

Hi!
Hoping you are all well - I have just turned another year older, but hey ho! 😊
I love the way this card came out...
I made it for the Colour Crazy Challenge
with our sponsor this time : Ching Chou Kuik.
This image was a darling to colour - it's called "Misty Allure Hummingbird."

I was so pleased with the hummingbird, that I took a closer picture of the bird.
I coloured this image using my alcohol promarkers
and white sakura pen for all the white patterned parts.
I used some liquid pearls here n there and a punched butterfly, from Martha Stewart.
I didn't want to detract from the image so made a simple dotty embossed background
with a few embossed lines on the right.
It has no sentiment yet - I'm not 100% sure it needs one!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

A pretty posy

At patties Creations this month,
the challenge, as always now, is "anything goes."

I have used the image called "lavender posy."
It was a little fiddly to colour with my promarkers, but worth the time, I think.
I think I used 5 different shades of purple on this posy!
I have highlighted them subtley with a wink-of-stella, and have glossy accented a few of the stems.
I embossed a line around the image, inked the edges,
matted it onto darker purple and onto a spotty strip.
The sentiment was stamped, matted and inked, too.
Tiny little Martha Stewart punched butterflies finished this card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Snowmen in February!

For my final guest designer spot at the Cut It Up challenge blog,
we were challenges to make a card using "snowmen"
I used Chilly Willy Snowman... and it's only a dollar!!!

I flipped the digital image, so that I could have 2 snow-people,
looking at each other.
When I had placed them inside the window
(I cut out the inside frame so I could see both snowpeople properly
and pushed the frame right up to near the top, to make 2 small top windows ),
I decided that they looked like they had kissed
so made a little mistletoe for the top of the frame.
The sentiment is from Craftwork cards. (I've had it for years!)
I embossed the bottom piece of backing paper, to resemble panelling on a wall.
So in all, the window frame, snowflakes, and robin are all diecuts.
I coloured the snowpeople with my promarkers and other alcohol pens.

Rainbows follow bad weather

Over at The Colour Crazy Challenge this time,
we are being sponsored by Oddball Stamps.

I just loved this image and sentiment and coloured it with my
promarkers and other alcohol pens.
I used a white sakura pen for the white highlights.
I fussy-cut around the rainbow, and kept the bottom of the card intact.
A piece of blue card slipped behind the rainbow,
and I dry-embossed and inked the edges.
I found some rainbow washi tape, which I ran along the bottom,
and added a couple of punched butterflies.

I would like to enter this into the other challenges:

Love

I've designed my second card for them as guest designer. ..

I embossed a piece of kraft card in my bigshot
and inked the ridges to draw out the wood-look.
The Love die is from Crafters Companion and the heart die is from
Memory Box - it's the precious hearts die and I carefully cut the heart off the bottom
of the string.
I felt it needed a bit of something ore so after inking the edges,
I added some washi tape.
The butterfly was printed on the pc and fussy-cut.
I think I will give this one to my hubby for Valentines day.

i would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Love

At Patties Creations this month
the theme is "anything goes and / or Love"

I love Patties image called "apothecary jar" and decided to make it into my own...

The jar comes with the lid attached - I carefully cut it to separate it.
I drew some hearts inside the jar, coloured with my promarkers and a few other alcohol pens.
I used some baker's twine to attach a little (X-Cut) diecut label,
on which I handwrote the sentiment.
The embossed background is from an embossing folder I'd forgotten I had!
I really like it though and will be using it more.
A line of dry embossing around the textured piece finished this card.

With deepest sympathy

I'm over the moon to be a guest designer over at Cut It Up challenge blog
for the next 3 challenges.
This time, the challenge is: "hard to say..." (ie: sympathy, sorry, belated)

I recently got a couple of lovely new dies and wanted to try them both, so made 2 cards...

This first card simply uses a Creative Expressions die - Daisy Edger.
I put a slither of washi tape to the straight edge,
punched out the butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch
and added a stamped sentiment.
I love how intricate this die is.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;
Creative knockouts - use a die - 3 Feb
Crafters Cafe - CAS - 13 Feb
Happy little stampers - atg with dies - 1 Feb

This card uses a frame die for the works - I love stitched dies!
The new die here is the flowers...it's a die and stamp set.
The first set like that I have bought!
It's called 'Blooming stamp and die set' by Karin Joan. (Studio Light)
Again, the sentiment was stamped
and I used my promarkers to colour the image.
Those Martha Stewart butterflies have come out again - I love that punch!
The lines along the edge finished the card, and are dry embossed.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Squeeze the day!

Over at the Colour Crazy Challenge, we have the pleasure of being
sponsored by my friend Pattie, at Patties Creations.
This is the lovely image: life gives you lemons.

This was a super-cute image to colour.
I used my promarkers and alcohol markers.
I inked the edge of all the backing papers and added a strip of washi tape to the embossed piece.
The sentiment was made using sticker letters for the main word
then I hand-wrote the rest.
I like the word play on this card - from "seize the day."

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Gnome birthday

 Happy 2022!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas with family and friends and
that 2022 has started well for you.

We were having a lovely time, until I went and fell over on a walk
on New Years Eve!
I'm now sporting a large scabby knee and a very tender kneecap.

Luckily, I have had this cute image to play with, from Patties creations...
He is called Bubble the Gnome.

The challenge for January is either "snowmen / snow" or "anything goes."
I'm not wanting to make any more Christmas cards just yet, however I do have a few
birthday cards to make for the next few months,
so choose "Bubble the gnome" for a card for my sister's boyfriend.
I coloured him with my alcohol markers and 3D'd his beard and nose.
The stamped sentiment is from Kaiser crafts
and I diecut the stars, adding a little punched star in the corner.
The edges are all inked and I did some dry embossing along some edges.
I'm pleased with the way this one came out...my first card for 2022!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
