Anniversary cards.

I made both of these cards for the same person... I think I know her style, so I hope she likes these!

This is an image I have had for a while, and I forgot I had!
I added a computer generated sentiment and digi element butterflies,
a few gems for sparkle, and glossy accents.
I also decoupaged some of the birdcages and birds.

I made this next card using digi elements that I have had for a while.
I used rub-ons for the "K + P" and used glossy accents on the silver hearts and staples.
The main sentiment is inside the frame.

I have been busy.

Busy at work, and busy at home!

I love this image, and I knew my Mum would love it too.
I decoupaged some parts of it...the cake, heart, birds, and I used glossy-accents
here and there, too.
I even did a bit of stitching on my machine..please don't look
to closely at that! I was my first go, and I know I need
plenty more practice!
Anyway - Mum loved it!!! x

I made this for a girl who loves her dog, and she is so pink and girly!
The paper came from a pack I bought in  a pound shop, ages ago.
The image is from SJ Musings... sooo cute!
All the flowers are punched. with liquid pearls added.
Oh, and a bit of faux stitching and chalked
edges!

Hopefully, I have kept this quite simple and masculine.
I made this for a boy about to become a teenager. I used "Mikey" download from
Charmed cards and crafts.
It's hard to tell, but I have decoupaged his top, trainers and earphones.
Also, I added glossy accents to the CD cases.
A few gems here and there, a bit of twine, and a pc generated sentiment.

I made this one for a realy girly-girl... who is mid-twenties!
She loves shopping, so I found some images I thought she may appreciate.
I put them together on my pc,
added some gems and glossy accents, and an embossed background.
I printed the sentiment directly onto the card.

Mens cards.

I thought I would have a go at making some mens cards this week...

I can;t remember where I got this image, but I thought it would be great for a male card.
I have decoupaged the sails on the ship and glossy-accented the seagulls.
I put some hand-drawn faux stitching round the frame, and
matted the picture on sandy coloured card.
I haven't put a sentiment on this yet...
I may be using it for fathers day in a few weeks time.

I made this for my father-in-law.
I designed and made the sentiment myself, using publisher.
I just played about with fonts and blocks of colour 'till I was happy with it.
The paper is form dovecraft and the beer mugs I die-cut on my big shot.  x

My friends got married yesterday.... and... dogs in the bath!?!

I made them this card weeks ago...and now I can finally show it to you,
'cos I know she looks at my blog.

I wanted to make them a card which would
fit their sea-side themed wedding.
I knew they were having the reception looking out over the sea, near to where they live,
having fish and chips, then ice-cream for their meal
and having shells, etc on the tables,
so I created this card ...using a photo and some editing in photoshop...I'm quite
proud of myself!
Hope they like it when they open it! xxx

I was asked to make a card for Amie (aged 12)...
and I know she has a cute, little white dog, so thought this image could be just right!
I decoupaged the flowrs, the soap and the suds, and glossy-accented all the bubbles and dogs noses.
The backing paper is a really old docrafts paper....
I think we all bought this set...and have loads left! x

A wedding cake card

Just a quick one tonight...only one card... but, I need you to answer my question...

Ok... the question...what else does this need?
I embossed each cake layer, added liquid pearls
and icicle stickles,
and a little edgeing on each of the "cakes" with my decorative scissors.
But....is it finished?
I can't quite decide!
Suggestions appreciated! x

This weeks cards

I have been making some more cards this week....

I just made this card (and the one below) last night..for a friend who loves shoes.
You might not believe this, but the shoes are actually from
wrapping paper!  Looking through
my stuff, I realised it was the only shoe stuff I had!
I cut carefully round the shoe,
popped it onto card and cut carefully round it again.
It gave it some proper strength.
I used 3-d foam to mount onto the embossed background... I love this background!
I scalloped the edge ...and cut quite a bit off.
The peel-off is one of my fave sentiment peel-offs...love that font!

I made this card last night, too.
Again, I used a wrapping paper shoe and this time I used a backing paper from my stash.
I hand-wrote the sentiment.

Just like the other stack-of-present-cards I have made,
I used my own template and covered it with baby papers, and a couple
of cute little bears from nitwits. Ribbon is from my stash.

I made this one for a friend, whose fave colour is green.
The papers are from papermania and the little presents are diecuts ..also papermania.
I love the little tags that craftwork cards sell (on top of stack).
Ribbon from stash.

This was such a difficult card to come up with...
a card, for a 17 yr old boy...and I have been making him cards since he was 12
so he had games console cards, bike cards, sport cards, etc.
I think he will think this quite "street" and "trendy" ...but, who knows?
I'm not too sure about the minds of 17 yr old males!
Fingers crossed!

Just a quick 2.....

A mid-week post!

I made this card recently, from me and hubby, for a friend who is going through a tough time.
I wanted her to know we care, and we are thinking about her.
I have had this digi-frame for a while...  and I found
the sentiment on the www.
I decoupaged the butterfly, the big flower and the little hearts
and added some gems.
Hope she likes it! x

This is for a male I know, who is just about to turn 17. Such an awkward age to make a card for!
I didn't want cutsie, and he doesn't have a lot of hobbies - except his xbox -
and I have made him an xbox card before!
He loves his bike though, and he is into free-running, so I thought
this image would suit fine! x

A stack of presents!

Blogging twice in one weekend.... I LOVE weekends!

I was having a think recently, about making some shaped cards...
and I thought this would be an easy start!
I made a template and decided to make a "men" type card..they are always so
difficult to make!
I used docrafts papers and a craftwork cards tag.
Ribbon is from my stash.

Exactly the same method again, I made a baby girl bundle...
The bears are from the nitwits collection, bear necessities, I think.
There is a girlie stack I made, in the next post down....  x

Feels like a long time,...

...Since I last blogged! Oh, the joys of being back in work!

After making the good luck card with this bear on, I was asked to make
another bear card , for a friend called Alice.
I used HOTP paper, a dab of glossy accents here and there,
and some punched flowers with pearls.
She loved the card!

I was having a play with photoshop and realised I could take an image from my pc and
change it's colour. This dress and bag were red.
It's so easy to do!
So I thought I would make it into this card for a friend to give her sister.

This was a card order too...
I haven't made a Holy Communion card before and I was a bit nervous about it....
I was specifically asked to use an image with a boy,
and she wanted his name too.
Luckily, it was what she was after. Phew!

 I just LOVE this image!
Its by Debbie Mumm...I love her stuff.
I added the text myself, in photoshop. Obviously, I used some glossy accents,
and pearls!

I just made this card last night...
I have been wanting to try a shaped card for a while.
I made my own template and
used docrafts appers for the different parcels.
The 'birthday wishes' tag is from craftwork cards, and
I made the other tag myself.
Think I may try this one with other papers and colours. x

A (Royal) Anniversary card.

I was asked yesterday afternoon, by a friend at work, to make an
anniversary card (for today!) - for her to give to her
Sister and B.I.L... "and can it say something like
shared with Prince William and Kate 2011..?"

Hmmm........

So this is what I came up with!

I used Pink Petticoat 'Old fashioned girl' papers, and cut the heart out myself.
I punched the flowers and leaves, added gems
and printed the words directly onto the papers.
PS....She loved it!!!!! Yeeaaahhh!!! x

Birthdays coming up.

I just LOVE being on holiday from work, so I can sit and craft!

So, this card is for a cousin of mine, who simply adores owls!
Every year, I make her a card with an owl theme, and I don't like to use the same owl twice!
She always likes the cards I send he, so lets hope this one is no different.
(She is going to be 12 this time...I think!)
I used cordinations card, paper from my 12 x 12 stash, ribbon  was from HOTP,
punched-out flowers, gems, and image from download.

I love this image! I think this card is just right for many occassions...
A little birdie told me....'you're moving house'
...'you got a new job'
...'theres some good news in your family'
....anything, really!
I used plenty of my fave - Glossy Accents - but it's hard to see in the pic.

I made this for a friend who has a birthday coming up.
Just wanted to send her a bright and cheery card, as she has a lot on at the min and want her
to know I didn't forget her.
Image from a digi download... made from 4 different elements, which I put
together and arranged.
Paper from stash, and puched flowers with gems. x

Good luck, girls!

I made these cards yesterday, for two girls I know who are doing the S.A.T's in a couple of weeks.

I used an image from google as the girls both love the "bluenose"bears and I thought this
one was perfect, with the books and apple!
I used some glossy accents on the apple and his nose.
I can't remember where I got the backing paper from...

I used the same image,  inked the edges, matted it and drew some stitching round the edge.
A couple of gems in the corners and a flower
with leaves finished this off.

Easter cards!

I haven't made any easter cards before, so this morning, I thought I would make a couple this year...

I found some Pink Petticoat images that I haven't used before..
as soon as I decided I was going to make some Easter cards, I remembered them!
I inked the edges of everything, and used some spotty paper:-
( I think it is Docrafts paper from waaay back! )
I coloured the image with my watercolour pencils to get a soft colour.

This card, I have just put in the post to my Niece!
Again, another PP image.
The paper was part of a 12 x 12 pack I bought in a pound shop last year! (Bargain!)

This image is a download.
I put the sentiment with the image, matted it and inked the edge.
I have aslo embossed around the edge of the image and added some
punched daisies in the corners. x

Some more cards I made recently.

Yeah! My second post...

I made this recently for a friend...who loves dogs!
I can't remember where I got the image 'cos I have had it a long time, but I thought it was so cute.
The backing paper is from DCWV.
The flower is from my stash.
Oh, and of course I had to use some glossy accents...on his eyes. x

I was asked to make this one for a 10 yr old girl...I had one evening to do it!
As soon as I found the image and knew it was what I wanted,
I found a similar backing paper in my 12 x 12 stash.
You can't tell in the pic,
but I decoupaged the dress and the ribbon. x

Yet another card I have been asked to make....
The brief, "an 18 card for a male, who is training the be a chef."
Thank goodness for digi downloads!
I decoupaged the chefs hat and put glossy accents on the 18.
It went down well, I am told! x

My first post!

Hi and welcome to my new blog!

I shall be sharing my crafty creations with you.

First off, is some cards I made recently...

I used a digi download for this 'amateur dramatics' card that I was asked to make.
The brief was...
"a card for Hubbys brother, who is turning 50 and into amateur dramatics!"
Lots of glossy-accents gave this design that 3D touch.
(Oh, and she - the buyer - loved it!)

I was also asked to make this card...
I used Dovecraft papers - I just love those rows of handbags!
To make the '60' I printed of a template and covered it with some HOTP paper.
Lots of gems added extra sparkle.
And not forgetting that lovely flower, and handbag sentiment (from craftwork cards).

Finally, this was another card I made recently.
Do you know what?.. I haven't a clue how I did it!
Sounds stupid, I know!
I just sat down and had a play in Adobe (I think).
I was really pleased when I finshed the image and stuck in to the card I had already embossed,
with some ribbon across the bottom edge.

Thankyou for any comments you may leave on my blog.
I hope to add here regularly! x
