Wedding card 2

So, here's another card I was asked to make for the wedding...

This is an A5 card.
I love the sentiment, and played about with the fonts on my pc.
The heart is from the memory box precious hearts... I just cut it off the bottom.
The butterflies are punched, from Martha Stewart.
I placed 3 pearls onto the ribbon
and used one of my fave embossing folders for the background.

Barrel of wine

This lovely image is called "wine barrel" and its from My heart pieces at Stitchy Bear Stamps.
I used it for this weeks challenge at Glitter n Sparkle...
"Beginning with a B"

So, I've got:
barrel, bottles, booze (!), berries, brown, border.
I would stick a butterfly on there somewhere too,
But I think this one's a card for a male.
I coloured the image with my promarkers and popped some parts on foam pads.
I decoupaged the fruit at the top of the barrel.
I made the border frame myself ..I hand-cut the shape and embossed lines around each side,
as well as inking the edges carefully...and you can't see it well,
but I have faux-stitched around all the edges of the frame, too.
I bought a bargain new embossing folder at the car boot last week too...
and used that inside the frame, as a background.

When I decide who this is going too, I may add their name / age
onto the wine bottle labels.

Wedding card 1

There's going to be a couple of wedding cards coming up in the next few weeks...
some friends are getting married and I have been asked to make cards for them,
from other friends... I haven't made my own to give them yet! :)

Infact, I've had another invite recently, so now there's 2 weddings to attend over summer..
I haven't been to a wedding for years,
and now 2 come along :)

Summer hols = great wedding season.

Love this card...so easy to make.
I used " tagul" to make the background...you can pick your own words,
colours, fonts,. etc.
I used the image 'Geeky love kiss' from Make it Crafty
and coloured it with my promarkers.
The kissing couple have 3d foam behind them to stand them off the heart.
A couple of punched butterflies and sparkly little gems finsihed this card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...

I do.....

The theme for this weeks challenge, over at
Glitter N Sparkle,
is... pearls and lace.

I was lucky enough to use the "I do" image from A Day For Daisies.

Sadly, I had no actual lace... so I improvised and used
lacy punched border and a lacy butterfly diecut - that i only just bought
(for a bargain 50p at a car boot sale!)
The image was a little beauty to colour with my promarkers.
I found the words of the sentment on the internet and typed them myself,
using 2 different fonts on the pc.
I used a dovecrafts backing paper, which I think looks very lacey too.
The little heart buckle is made of teeny pearls and I used pearls on the border,
the butterfly and the brides veil.

The sun's out!

Summer is trying to appear!
:)

And as it just so happens, the theme this week at Glitter n Sparkle, is:
'summer sunshine.'
Here is my card...

I used "Crazy cat lady" digi image from Cute As A Button,
coloured carefully with my promarkers.
I have to say - the background was a real labour of love.
It took me so long to make it!
I cut and coloured the little hill separately, with my promarkers
and used lots of scraps of different yellow papers, plain and patterned.
I cut each one on my trimmer and inked the edges, then faux-stitched around
all edges with a yellow fineliner.
The flowers are diecuts from memory box.
I stuck them all down and trimmed the edges to create the sunshine background.
I haven't decided on who this is going too yet, so have not added a sentiment yet.

Poppies

I loved making this card recently,
with my new spellbinders edging dies.

I used a precoloured image from "Fred she said".
Poppies are a gorgeous flower and I think this image is gorgeous too.
I used a sentiment from my pc and cut it with an xcut frame die.
I used my new edging does... 2 of them together made this edge.
It was finished off with a little dry embossing,]some inked edges
and some martha stewart punched butterflies.
(which I hand - dotted with a white graph it marker.)

New home

Its the challenge everyone loves this week, over at Glitter n Sparkle...
anything goes!

For my card this week, I got the lovely "birdhouse " from Crafty Sentiments.

Its such a lovely little image to colour, and really didn't take long.
I diecut the label shape and added some diecut swirly leaf branches
and some dovecraft paper flowers, along with some smaller punched flowers and
diecut birds and butterflies.
Around the edge, I felt the need for something, so used my white graph-it pen
to make a little dotty border.

Pink flamingoes?!

Over at Patties Creations this month, Pattie has chosen,
"use water in your image" for this months theme.
I selected her 'Flamingoes' image...

... which I coloured with my promarkers.
I backed it on some complimentary backing papers,
which I inked around the edges of,
added some punched flowers and butterflies
and finished off with a sentiment I printed on my pc.
I thought this could make a lovely anniversary or girlie-birthday card.

Wine, anyone?

I was so chuffed this week, to get this Bugaboo image -
Glass of wine.
I knew it would work perfectly for this weeks Glitter n Sparkle theme:
Add a sentiment.

I made this card for a friend who is going to be 30 in a few weeks.
I think I could make cards with this image, many times over for many friends of mine! lol..
This was quite a quick and simple card to do once I had
printed off the image and sentiment.
(you get them both on the same download from Bugaboo.)
I coloured the image with my promarkers and added a diecut 30 and diecut corners.
I raised it all on 3d foam and popped it on a background I embossed.

Beer Monster!

Pink Gems is sponsoring us over at Glitter n Sparkle this week,
with the theme of "One for the boys."
I used 'Beer monster.'
(which comes black and white, precoloured, and with
a separate sentiment - 'beer monster.')

I used the precoloured version of this image, to save a little time,
and added a 'birthday wishes' sentiment to the beer monster sentiment.
I matched it up with some 6 x 6 paper from the paper cellar.
I made some strips matted on black, with the same paper, to give some interest.
The 21 was die cut with my new number dies
- which I love -
and the beer mug is  quickutz die that I have had for yonks.
I fussy cut the beer monster and mounted him on 3d pads.

Thanks!

Over at Glitter n Sparkle this week, the theme is...
"include a diecut"
and I used 4 different diecuts with my image from
Scribbles Designs, called "flowershop."

I just adore putting red, white and kraft together,
just as I adore a red and white stripey awning on a shop.
It was a lovely image to colour and said it was a "thankyou " card,
straight away, to me.
The sentiment is from craftwork cards.

Another card for Dad!

Again, I was blessed with an image from Ikes Art...
"Windmill"
This image is so lovely on it's own, I really thought I did not
have to do much more than colour it....

...which I did with my promarkers.
It took a while! :)
I just added a sentiment from my pc, and embossed a simple line around the edge.

Fathers Day

"Fathers Day" or "graduation"
is the challenge this month, over at Patties Creations.
Seeing as I don't know anyone graduating and we have
my Dad and Hubbys Dad,
I thought I would make a fathers day card....using "Mallards."

I printed the image and coloured it with my promarkers.
I decoupaged both ducks and added a sentiment on my pc.
I thought the brown corners were reminiscemt of those elbow patches older men
seem to have on their jumpers / jackets  :)
The backing paper is from an animal skins set of papers I have
from "the works" (which was a bargain £1).
I thought the pattern would fit so well with the colour of the ducks.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges....

Going cuckoo....

How thrilled was I this week, when I got to play with 'Ikes Art - Cuckoo Clock'!?!
The theme over at Glitter n Sparkle, is..
"include an animal"
(on the last count, there were:
2 birds, one owl, three butterflies and a squirrel)
I love this image -
although it was a real challenge to colour!
(You kinda think it all needs to be brown,
like a wooden cuckoo clock....)

...but I took that challenge and did my best with it.
(Actually, I made a card after colouring the image, and just hated it,
so ripped it up and binned what I couldn't reuse.
I had to print out the image again and I had a much better stab at it... )
So this is card number 2.
I'm much more pleased with it!
I coloured this with my promarkers...and used about 6 different shades of brown
 and 2 different greens
The two little birds (underneath the clock)
were from my memory box die, which just fit beautifully.
The diecut corners are from a cuttlebug die that I got recently
(a bargain £1 for 4 corner dies,,,still sealed!)
and the butterflies are punched from my old favourite..Martha Stewart.
The distressed looking background is another fairly new item I have...
I won this on a blog challenge last year and hadn't got round to using it yet.

Girly

This week, I got the gorgeous image - "spa ha ha" from sweet pea stamps.
The challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle is "one for the ladies!"
and I thought this card would suit one of my friends, brilliantly...

I love this image and didn't think it would need a lot of extra 'doing to it.'
Before printing out the image, I added the sentiment that came with it.
I did a really quick colour of the ladies skin, hair and bathrobes.
and embossed around the whole thing, then matted onto some patterned blue paper.
That was it!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A sweet card

I got this wonderful image - strawberry muffin - from Sunflowerfield designS,
for the challenge this week, at Glitter n Sparkle, which is
USE RIBBON.

Almost immediately, I knew I wanted to use a red / white colour scheme, just because of
those delicious looking strawberries!
I diecut the border strip with my 'charlotte' memory-box die.
The sentiment was printed on the pc.
I decoupaged the image and coloured it all with promarkers.
My favourite Martha Stewart punched butterflies made another appearance on this card, too:)

Congratulations!

A supply teacher at our school was taken on permanently last week,. and she's thrilled.
So, I made her this card... and she loved it!
She said..."It's just my style!"
:)

The image is one I won, a while back, over at Beansie doodles...
she is called "Zilpha" and I thought this would be just perfect for the card.
I coloured her first, then picked a backing paper to go with her.
This is actually a scrap - a piece I had saved, as it was a nice size and super, spring colours!
Its a lovely quality backing paper, I just found in my stash...
with glitter lines inbetween each stripe of colour.
A simple sentiment and a few punched butterflies, with an embossed edge
finished this card.

Embossing.

I was waiting for another excuse to use this lovely, embossed frame...
and the time has come, as over at Glitter n Sparkle this week
the theme is "embossing... dry or heat"

The mermaid image is called "Mermaid Joelene" and it's from
Spellbinding Stamps.
It is a lovely crisp image and gorgeous to colour.
I used my promarkers and mirage pens to colour her,
and I added a sentiment from the pc, and a little more embossing behind her,
using one of my embossing folders.
I used Glossy Accents on all the bubbles.
and finished by inking the edges of the frame .

Daisy delite

I just think this image is sooo sweet - It's called "Daisy delite daisy love pin up"
and it's from Lacey Sunshine.
It's the old favourite challenge this week, over at Glitter and Sparkle -
it's ANYTHING GOES...

I had a friend in mind when I made this,
and I know she loves the green / yellow combo,
so used my promarkers to colour the image.
The sentiment comes from Pink Petticoat
and the backing papers are from a set of 6 x 6 papers that I bought recently
in 'The Works'.
I punched the butterflies.
Inking all the edges gave it a bit of a softer feel.

Big birthday wishes.

This months challenge, over at Pattie's Creations, is to
"use flowers in your image"
(Just flower embellishments are not enough... you must have flowers in your image.)

I used "thinking of you" from Patties Creations....

The image actually comes with the thinking of you sentiment,
but I wanted to use this to make a card for my friends BIG birthday, so put a pink petticoat
sentiment with the image for this card.
It was lovely to colour with my promarkers and mirage pens.
I added some stickles sparkle to the butterflies wings
(which is really hard to capture in a photo).
I finished off by edging, with a pin!
(I carefully poked it in and out, all around the edge, to make a different kind of border.)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges...
